Pythagorean vs Chaldean numerology
Pythagorean numerology maps letters to 1–9. Chaldean, in Cheiro’s chart, maps letters to 1–8. Date numbers are shared; name numbers change.
Two charts for the alphabet
Pythagorean numerology assigns A=1, B=2, through I=9, then J=1 again. Master numbers 11, 22, and 33 are kept when they appear. Cheiro’s Chaldean chart assigns letters to 1–8 according to a different table; no letter is 9, and name totals reduce to a single digit.
